There is, however, Cat Prince Bully in Bowser’s Fury! His horns have now been replaced with ears, and he is covered in metal fur! Or is he? Maybe it is regular fur erupting horrifically from metal? Either way, fur around a mouth like his is kind of scary! This whole thing just wasn’t working out for him. Later in the game, there is a Boss Blitz stage, where every non-Bowser boss is battled once more! Except Prince Bully. He’s also dyed his hair, and feet, blue! Will this bold new look help him achieve victory? It will not! Because his arena still has those Clear Pipes! Prince Bully is canned once again! Prince Bully is persistent, though! After his first defeat, he conquers a new domain, called Prince Bully Blockade Is Back! He is really dedicated to the “Blockade” branding. It’s also why he is so aggressive! You can’t see his old exoskeleton lying around because he ate it. He still has a few more molts until adulthood, and he was caught at a bad time, having freshly molted! He has not sclerotized yet easily seen by his light color, and so his new exoskeleton is still soft and vulnerable. How embarrassing!īut I am sure you wonder, why? Why is a metal creature able to be so readily compressed? If you ask me, it is in the name! He is a prince, he is still young. These pipes do nothing but lead to his defeat! Prince Bully can be pushed into one of these pipes, where he will be comically compressed into a little cylinder, and he can then be kicked. Prince Bully has no ledge to fall off of… but he has these clear pipes! These clear pipes, and his hubris. The way Prince Bully is fought is really quite funny! You see, regular Bullies are invincible to any attack, and can only be defeated by being pushed off of the platform. But the game assures us that it is Prince Bully who is in the way! Don’t worry about any of that. You would really need to go out of your way just to get inside. It is a single room with no entrance, and no exit. You may be wondering, what is the extent of Prince Bully’s political power? Where does he rule over? Well, he rules over the location known as Prince Bully Blockade! A location that exists so that Prince Bully can be proudly In The Way. Lowercase bullying is unacceptable and you already know that! A Luigi made of sap, waving to you from the sidelines of Maple Treeway.Īnd if you find that thought to be more unsettling than charming? GOODĭid you know that Bullying can get you far in life? Just look at Prince Bully! He Bullied his way to the top! Of course, I am talking about Bullying, the act of being a Bully (creature). Liquid Luigis becoming as ubiquitous as Toads and Yoshis. Even the most evil of Luigis likes to have fun.įury Shadow also brings to mind Gooigi! They just love making gelatinous Luigis these past few years! I think it would be funny if these just slowly but surely became a permanent fixture of the Mushroom Kingdom. You just got Luigi’d! I think this is all a game to them. If Mario takes too long to chase them, Fury Shadows will stop to taunt him.

I would think this spiky form would be more effective at not being hit, but I don’t think that’s their style. They will enter Ball Form after each hit, no doubt incubating their Luigi Form in there, before Luiging once more. With how Sunshine-inspired Bowser’s Fury is, it is pretty much absolutely a reference to Shadow Mario! I just must ask, why Luigi? Because it’s funnier? I think it’s funnier. They are a lot like Shadow Mario, running away with a Shine, needing Mario to chase them down and bop them a bunch to get it. Usually, you can also tell them apart because Fury Shadows are made of black goop and have piercing red eyes, but the ball form is more reliable, in case the real Luigi has been wallowing in crude oil while wearing colored contacts.įury Shadows like to be On The Move! Trying not to get got. Regular Luigi doesn’t go in Ball Form all that often, which is an easy way to tell them apart. Why do they look like Luigi? I don’t know! Why don’t you ask them?

Not that it means much, out here in Evil Luigi territory…ĭespite their appearance, Fury Shadows are NOT actually Luigi. Still reading this post? Heh… I guess you’re braver than I thought. Debut: Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury
